Do Not Try This at Home!

Seriously. Do NOT try anything you see on this blog. I will not be liable if you burn down your house, yourself, or your neighbors dog.

Or anything else.

There's always risk, when introducing fire into your environment. Even lighting a fire in your fireplace can turn tragic. According to the Chimney Safety Institute of America, there are roughly 25,000 chimney fires a year.

Cooking with direct flame is safe enough to be practiced in major restaurants across the country. However, there are always risks, and accidents do happen. Most are caused by people combining fire and stupidity -- and the stupidity is not always on the part of the cook. I guess the moral is, don't be stupid. Even if you're just lighting up the barbecue pit or using a gas burner on your range, BE CAREFUL!
